Information Security Auditor, Technology

Up to $120K

Proprietary trading firm is seeking a security auditor to create and manage audit processes and compliance procedures.

Responsibilities:
-Work with Compliance and Risk Teams to ensure IT processes and technologies support audit and compliance procedures.
-Create procedures concerning compliance and document retention.
-Create and manage an audit process using third party auditors.
-Manage the remediation process internally.
-Create, manage and implement an internal security audit process.
-Perform initial internal audit of current IT security.
-Act as a representative of the firm during audits by outside parties.
-Will be expected to do a high level of training and education and persuading.
-Will NOT be responsible for hands on implementation or support of technology systems (except as backup).

Qualifications:
-Balance of technology and business skills.
-Experience in a position with a firm regulated by SOX laws.
-Experience in creating procedures as well as implementing technologies.
-Experience in bringing a non-secure environment to a secure environment.
-Experience establishing security procedures by creating consensus, not by issuing decrees.
-Balanced experience securing and auditing Windows and UNIX systems, and Cisco products.
-A law degree is a plus.
-Ethical Hacker certification is a big plus.
-Understanding of rules and regulations affecting financial firms.
-Knowledge of rules and regulations affecting both private and public firms.
